The ePTFE gasket envelope is engineered to deliver exceptional sealing performance by enclosing a soft or resilient filler material within a chemically inert PTFE sheath. The expanded PTFE outer layer protects the internal core from direct exposure to corrosive fluids, while maintaining compressibility and flexibility to conform to flange irregularities. This design ensures leak-tight performance even under low bolt loads or on fragile flange surfaces, making it ideal for industrial applications where both chemical resistance and mechanical reliability are required.
Inside the PTFE envelope, fillers such as soft PTFE, graphite, or other resilient materials provide structural support, helping the gasket retain its shape, resist creep, and maintain consistent compression over time.
