Filled PTFE

Carbon graphite filled PTFE is manufactured by blending virgin Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) resin with selected reinforcements such as carbon, graphite, or other fillers, followed by compression molding and sintering. Compared with unfilled PTFE, filled grades offer significantly improved load capacity, wear resistance, and dimensional stability while maintaining excellent chemical resistance.

Carbon Filled PTFE

Carbon filled PTFE enhances wear resistance and compressive strength without compromising the material’s low friction properties. It is commonly used in bushings, valve stems, sliding components, and conveyor rollers where continuous movement and moderate load are present. Typical carbon-filled grades operate reliably within -200°C to 260°C and reduce lubrication requirements while extending service life.

Graphite Filled PTFE

Graphite filled PTFE provides improved thermal conductivity and reduced friction, making it suitable for dynamic and high-speed applications. It performs well in dry-running conditions such as valve shaft seals, piston rings, sliding guides, and friction bushings, offering enhanced wear performance and resistance to heat buildup.
