PTFE film sheet refers to a non-directional film made from high-quality pure polytetrafluoroethylene resin. It is produced by molding a cylindrical blank, followed by high-temperature sintering and then continuous machining along the circumference of the blank using specialized turning (planing) equipment. Its molecular chains are randomly distributed, exhibiting consistent mechanical properties in both longitudinal and transverse directions. It is extremely tough, flexible, and foldable, with virtually no directional variation. Calendered semi-directional and oriented PTFE thin film exhibits a smoother surface, significantly improved longitudinal tensile strength and elastic modulus, smaller thickness tolerances, and superior dimensional stability and dielectric properties. PTFE film rolls are widely used in high-frequency, high-speed copper-clad laminates, 5G/6G antenna substrates, radomes, capacitor dielectric films, fuel cell proton exchange membrane reinforcement layers, and other precision applications requiring extremely high mechanical strength, electrical properties, and thickness uniformity.
