Our expanded PTFE joint sealant is manufactured from 100% mono-directionally expanded PTFE, forming a soft yet exceptionally strong sealing tape that adapts to uneven or damaged flange faces. The micro-porous fibrillated structure provides high compressibility, low creep, and outstanding resistance to aggressive chemicals, making it an ideal alternative to conventional sheet gaskets.
This ePTFE joint sealant is supplied with a self-adhesive backing for quick installation and can be used to form custom-sized gaskets directly on-site, eliminating the need for pre-cut shapes. Typical applications include reactor covers, storage tanks, pump housings, pressure vessels, large diameter flanges, glass-lined equipment, and sensitive OEM machinery across chemical processing, pharmaceutical plants, semiconductor facilities, food equipment manufacturing, desalination, and general industrial sealing.
It maintains reliable sealing performance under a wide temperature range and low bolt load conditions, making it especially suitable for fragile materials such as glass, plastic, enamel, graphite, and ceramic flanges.
