Asbestos PTFE packing offers a reinforced sealing structure where asbestos fibers provide strength and thermal stability, while PTFE impregnation enhances lubricity and chemical resistance. This balanced construction allows the packing to perform reliably in valves, pumps, and industrial equipment handling steam, oil, and corrosive media under demanding operating conditions.

PTFE impregnated asbestos valve packing (also called asbestos PTFE packing) is a high-performance sealing material specifically designed for industrial valves under high temperature, high pressure and corrosive media. Combining the excellent mechanical strength of asbestos fiber with the superior lubricity and chemical resistance of PTFE, it is widely used in steam valves, chemical valves and petrochemical pumps.
PTFE impregnated asbestos packing (asbestos PTFE packing) is manufactured by braiding high-quality asbestos yarn and then thoroughly impregnating and coating each strand with PTFE suspension. This special process ensures that every fiber is fully protected by PTFE, dramatically improving lubricity, corrosion resistance and service life compared with traditional dry asbestos valve packing.
Is asbestos PTFE packing safe?
Our asbestos PTFE packing uses chrysotile (white asbestos) that is fully encapsulated by PTFE. It meets international safety standards during normal use and installation.
Can it replace pure PTFE packing?
Yes. In high-pressure and high-temperature valve applications, asbestos PTFE packing provides better compression resilience and longer life than pure PTFE packing.
